Fantastic Four

Wow. It's about time I finished this. I started this image waaaay back in the beginning of June 2004 (completed October 26th, 2004), after deciding to do an 'easy' image. Little did I know that this one manip would consume several months to come. Of course, it would be a lie to say I worked on this night and day since then, but I did spend a greeeeeeat deal of time on it.

But let me first introduce everyone. You are probably wondering who on Earth the cast of this pic, what celebrity or model or friend did I use for the faces? Well sit down, because they aren't real. These people were created by me.

Many of my fellow manipers know what frankensteining is, the process of placing different body parts from different people/pictures to make one image. Well, I frankensteined their faces, kind of. Their faces are composed of many many many celebrities (aside from The Thing, obviously). The small size of this image doesn't even come near to capturing the detail I put in them, so here are links to close-ups of their heads (note: I did many small changes once I shrunk them and put them on the main pic, so these aren't the EXACT heads in the pic, but you get the idea):

I hope everyone really likes this picture, it's definatly my masterpiece for now, as I just spent sooo muuuuch time on it. Those costumes, made mostly from scratch (with the help of Poser). Everything on Ben, mostly scratch (Kudos to artist Mike Wieringo for the drawing of Ben's head that I based this pose on).

I want to be sure to thank everyone who helped me on this, but especially Adam Thur for keeping me in the game when I felt like quitting and Amy Poynter for being Sue's hair model for me when I couldn't find good hair on the internet.
